Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats), head east on Pikk Street (Pikk tänav) for about 200 meters. You will pass by several shops and cafés. Continue straight until you reach Viru Street (Viru tänav) on your right. Turn right onto Viru Street and walk approximately 100 meters. You will see the iconic Viru Gate on your left, marked by its historical towers.

  • Walking

    If you are near Toompea Hill, exit the hill and head down towards the lower town. Follow Lühike Jalg Street down to the intersection with Pikk Street. Turn left onto Pikk Street and proceed as described in the previous option. This route provides you with beautiful views of the lower town as you descend.

  • Public Transport (Tram)

    If you are coming from further away in the city, you can take tram number 1 or 3 towards the 'Tallinn Ülemiste' direction. Get off at the 'Viru' stop.
