If you're driving from the central area of Viljandi, head northeast on Tartu mnt (Route 2). Continue on this route for about 23 km until you reach the town of Tartu. As you approach Tartu, take the exit onto Võru mnt (Route 2) towards Võru. After about 10 km, take the exit onto Limnoloogia tee. The Lake Museum (Järvemuuseum Akva:rium) will be located on your right at Limnoloogia tee 1, Vehendi, Tartu County. There is ample parking available on-site.

From Viljandi, you can take a bus to Tartu. Buses depart regularly from the Viljandi bus station. The journey takes approximately 45-60 minutes. Once you arrive at Tartu bus station, you can take bus number 22 or 23 towards the University of Tartu. Get off at the stop called 'Võru mnt.' From there, you can either walk for about 15 minutes towards Limnoloogia tee or take a taxi directly to Limnoloogia tee 1, where the Lake Museum (Järvemuuseum Akva:rium) is located.
