    From Lavumisa Border Post, head north on the A1 road. Continue on the A1 for approximately 20 kilometers. You will see signs for Mlawula Nature Reserve. Take the turnoff towards Mlawula, which is a well-marked dirt road. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the reserve. There may be a small entrance fee to pay, so ensure you have cash available.

    Start at Lavumisa Border Post and look for local taxi services that head towards Mlawula. You can ask locals for the nearest taxi rank. Once you find a taxi heading in the direction of Mlawula, inform the driver of your intended destination. The taxi ride should take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive near the entrance to Mlawula Nature Reserve, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the entrance gate.
