From Mekele, take the main road south towards the Danakil Depression. Follow the signs towards the town of Berhale. After approximately 80 km, you will reach the town of Berhale. From Berhale, head south for another 20 km until you reach the Adadi Maryam site, which is located on the right side of the road. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for rough terrain, as some sections may be unpaved.

For those opting for public transportation, you can catch a minibus from Mekele to Berhale. These run regularly throughout the day and cost about 100 ETB per person. Once you arrive in Berhale, you can hire a local taxi or arrange a ride with a guide to take you the remaining 20 km to Adadi Maryam. Be prepared to negotiate the fare with the taxi driver. The drive from Berhale to Adadi Maryam will take approximately 30 minutes.
