Walking
Start your journey from the main square of Debre Markos, known locally as 'Mekelakeya.' Head south on the main road, which is known as 'Bole Road.' Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with 'Bishoftu Street.' At this intersection, turn left and walk for another 500 meters. You will see a sign for አባ አሸብር ሜዳ (Aba Ashebir Park) on your right. Follow this road, and the park entrance will be approximately 200 meters ahead.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops around Mekelakeya. Start by heading south on Bole Road for about 1 kilometer. At the intersection with Bishoftu Street, turn left and continue cycling for another 500 meters. Watch for the sign for አባ አሸብር ሜዳ (Aba Ashebir Park) on your right. The park entrance will be 200 meters down that road. Make sure to wear a helmet and be cautious of traffic.
Public Transport
To reach አባ አሸብር ሜዳ (Aba Ashebir Park) via public transport, find a local minibus (also known as a 'bajaj') from Mekelakeya. Ask the driver to take you to the park, or mention 'Aba Ashebir.' The fare is quite affordable. The minibus will drop you off near the entrance of the park. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance.
