Start from the center of Debre Markos, near the main market. Head east on the main road (Bole Road) towards the outskirts of the city. Continue walking for about 3 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Adadi Maryam. You can ask locals for directions, as they will point you toward the right path. Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto the road that leads to Adadi Maryam (Rock-Hewn). The path will be a mix of paved roads and dirt paths, so wear comfortable shoes. Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers until you see signs leading to Adadi Maryam. You will eventually reach the entrance of the site which is well-marked.

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the central square of Debre Markos. Ride east on Bole Road for about 3 kilometers. At the intersection leading to Adadi Maryam, turn left. The route is mostly flat and suitable for cycling. Continue on this road for another 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the entrance to Adadi Maryam (Rock-Hewn). The ride should take around 30-40 minutes depending on your pace.

Public Transport (Mini-bus)
From the central area of Debre Markos, look for a mini-bus terminal. Board a mini-bus heading towards the direction of Adadi Maryam or ask locals which one goes there. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the drop-off point near the entrance to Adadi Maryam, follow the signs or ask for directions to the site, which is within walking distance from where the mini-bus stops.
