Walking
Melezzo is located within the main historical area of Aksum, making it easily accessible on foot from most hotels in the town center. From the center of Aksum, head west towards the Northern Stelae Field. Melezzo is located near the Stelae Field and the Church of St. Mary of Zion. There are no entrance fees for the immediate area, but some of the sites may have fees.
Public Transport
If arriving from the Aksum Airport, which is about 5km east of the town center, you can take a shared taxi or a bajaj (tuk-tuk) to reach Melezzo. A shared taxi to or from the airport costs around 100 Birr. A private tuk-tuk or Bajaj costs 30 to 40 Birr to go from the town center to the Northern Stelae Field. Shared Bajaj is available for only 3 Birr and is an easy way to cross the town.
