Walking
If you prefer a more scenic route, start at the same spot near the church in Hvalvík. Instead of heading directly to the waterfront, take the first left onto a narrow road leading towards the hills. This path will lead you through some beautiful grasslands and give you a chance to see local wildlife. After approximately 25 minutes, you will merge onto the main trail that leads to Risin og Kellingin. Follow the signs and continue your ascent. This route may take a bit longer, about 1 hour, but offers more picturesque views along the way.
