From the main area of Saksun, begin your hike toward Pollurin Waterfall. Follow the gravel path that leads southward from the village. The walking path to the waterfall is about 1.5 kilometers away from the limited parking area.

Public Transport
To reach Pollurin Waterfall via public transport, take a bus to the village of Saksun on Streymoy Island. From Tórshavn, several daily bus routes connect to Saksun. Check the current bus schedules for Bygdaleiðir (the national Faroese transport company) for the most up-to-date times and routes. From the Saksun bus stop, follow the road into the village. The trail to Pollurin Waterfall starts on the right side of the road, just beyond the bridge over Skipá river. Ascend the obvious grassy path along the Skipá stream. A single bus fare from Tórshavn to Saksun will cost approximately 30-50 DKK.

If driving, start from the main road in Saksun and follow the signs for Pollurin Waterfall. Limited parking is available near the trailhead. Ensure you park responsibly without obstructing the path for others. After parking, follow the walking path to the waterfall, which is about 1.5 kilometers away. Be aware that some roads leading to Saksun are narrow. Driving through the sub-sea tunnel Eysturoyartunnilin will cost 75 DKK.
