Boat Tour
The most accessible and recommended way to view Skarðsáfossur is by sea. Several boat tours depart from Sørvágur, offering views of Drangarnir and Tindhólmur, with a stop at Skarðsáfossur. Typical boat tours range from 1.5 to 4 hours and cost approximately $100 - $800 USD, depending on the tour type and duration. These tours often include other nearby attractions, providing a comprehensive experience of the region.
Walking
While reaching the waterfall directly by land is challenging due to private property, it is possible to walk from Bøur towards the Gásadalur tunnel. From the village of Bøur, head 2 km towards the tunnel leading to Gásadalur. Look for a small unpaved area where locals park for sheep herding. From there, you can try to find a way towards the ocean, though there is no visible path. Please be respectful of private property. There are no costs associated with this approach, but it requires caution and may not provide a clear view of the waterfall.
