If driving from Tórshavn, take Route 10 towards Eysturoy. The Eysturoy Tunnel is well-signposted. Be aware of the toll. As of July 2025, the toll is 175 DKK one way for a standard passenger car without a subscription. Payment can be made online at tunnil.fo up to 6 days after your trip.

Public Transport
From Tórshavn, take bus route 450 towards Eysturoy. This bus goes through the Eysturoy Tunnel and stops in Runavík, Toftir, and Strendur. Check the Strandfaraskip Landsins (SSL) website for the most up-to-date bus schedules. A single ticket from Tórshavn to Runavík will cost approximately 50 DKK.
