If you are driving, start from any central location in Skúvoy. Head towards the ferry terminal at 'Skúvoyar Bryggja', which is the main access point to the island. From there, take the ferry to 'Sandur' on Sandoy Island. This ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around DKK 70 per person. Upon reaching Sandur, continue driving on Route 11 towards 'Tórshavn'. Follow the signs leading to 'Hoyvík' and 'Tjóðsavnið'. Once you reach Hoyvík, look for 'Brekkutún', where the museum is located at number 6. The entire journey will take approximately 2 hours, including the ferry crossing.

To reach Tjóðsavnið via public transportation, start at the main bus stop in Skúvoy. Board the bus heading to 'Skúvoyar Bryggja' to catch the ferry to Sandur. The bus ride is short, and the ferry ticket is around DKK 70 per person, purchased onboard. Once you arrive in Sandur, you will need to switch to the local bus service that connects to 'Tórshavn'. Confirm the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary. Once in Tórshavn, transfer to the bus that goes to Hoyvík. The museum is a short walk from the bus stop in Hoyvík, located at 6 Brekkutún.
