    To reach Skarðsáfossur using public transport, take bus 350 from Tórshavn or Sandavágur to Bøur. From Tórshavn, the bus ride is approximately 1 hour and 11 minutes. From Sandavágur, the bus ride is approximately 51 minutes. The cost for a multi-day travel card, valid on all buses and ferries (excluding Mykines), is DKK 500 for 4 days. A single fare will likely cost between DKK 15 and DKK 150. From Bøur, the waterfall is approximately 2 km away. There is a small unpaved area where locals park for sheep herding. There is no visible path on the grassy surface.

    If driving from Vágar Airport (approximately 15 minutes), follow the main road to Bøur. From Tórshavn (approximately 45 minutes), take the main road towards Vágar island. Note that there is a subsea tunnel connecting Streymoy (where Tórshavn is located) and Vágar; there is a toll fee of DKK 100 for using the subsea tunnels. Once in Bøur, there is limited parking available. From the small unpaved parking area, the waterfall is approximately 2 km away. There is no visible path on the grassy surface.
