Getting There

    From Vágar Airport, drive towards the village of Bøur. Follow the main road; Skarðsáfossur is located approximately 2 km from Bøur, towards the tunnel leading to Gásadalur. Look for a small, unpaved area on the right side of the road where locals park for sheep herding. Parking is free, but limited. Exercise caution when crossing the road.

    Take bus 300 from Tórshavn or Sandavágur to Bøur. From Bøur, walk approximately 2 km along the main road towards the Gásadalur tunnel. Look for the small, unpaved parking area on the right. Bus fare from Tórshavn is approximately 36 DKK. The bus from Sandavágur to Bøur takes about 51 minutes.

    From the parking spot, there is no visible path. Head towards the ocean. Walk down as close as possible to the skerry Akranessker, then go as far as possible to the right. Soon, the hidden waterfall will appear. The hike from the parking area takes around 30-45 minutes.
