Getting There

  • Driving

    From Vágar Airport, drive west on Route 22 towards Sørvágur. In Sørvágur, follow Route 45 towards Bøur and Gásadalur. Pass through the 1.4km Gásadalstunnilin tunnel (free of charge). After exiting the tunnel, the viewpoint is located just before arriving in Gásadalur. Limited parking is available near the viewpoint; additional parking is available in Gásadalur village. Note that the road to the viewpoint passes through a gate; be sure to close it after entering.

    From Tórshavn, take bus route 300 to Sørvágur. From Sørvágur, transfer to bus route 350 to Gásadalur. The bus journey from Sørvágur to Gásadalur takes approximately 7 minutes. Check the SSL website for the most up-to-date bus schedules. A multi-day travel card (excluding Mykines) can be purchased for DKK 500 (4 days) or DKK 700 (7 days). Consider purchasing a travel card at the airport or the main bus terminal in Tórshavn.
