Getting There

    From Archipelago National Park, head southeast on Route 1 (E18) towards Turku. Continue on E18 until you reach the junction for Route 9 (E63) towards Jyvaskyla. After approximately 70 km, take the exit onto Route 5 towards Rovaniemi. Continue on Route 5 for about 300 km. Once you arrive at Rovaniemi, follow Route 4 for approximately 50 km until you reach Pelkosenniemi. The entrance to Pyhä-Luosto National Park is well marked from Pelkosenniemi.

    To travel by public transport from Archipelago National Park to Pyhä-Luosto National Park, first take a local bus or taxi to the nearest train station, which might be in Turku. From Turku, take a train to Rovaniemi (approx. 8 hours). Once in Rovaniemi, you can catch a local bus heading towards Pelkosenniemi. The bus ride from Rovaniemi to Pelkosenniemi takes about 1 hour.
