From the Tarvaspääntie bus stop, it's a short walk to the Gallen-Kallela Museum. Alternatively, take a train from Helsinki Central Station to Mäkkylä. From there, you can take bus 502 or walk approximately 2 kilometers to the museum.

    From the Munkkiniemi area in Helsinki, you can walk to the Gallen-Kallela Museum. The walk is approximately 2.5 kilometers and offers scenic views. Follow the path through Tarvo island. In good weather, this route provides the best scenery.

  • Driving

    If driving, parking is available at the end of Gallen-Kallelan tie, just outside the museum grounds. Parking is limited, with additional parking available along the road. Parking is free. Note that the road leading to the museum is an emergency access road, and parking is not allowed there.
