    From the Jyväskylä Travel Centre (bus and train station), the Alvar Aalto Museum is approximately a 1.6 km walk. Head north-east on Hannikaisenkatu, then turn right onto Seminaarinkatu. Continue onto Alvar Aallon katu. The museum will be on your left.

  • Public Transport

    The local bus service in Jyväskylä is operated by Linkki. From the city center, take a Linkki bus to one of the stops closest to the museum center: “Museo 2” in Hannikaisenkatu (170 meter walk) or “Yliopisto 1” in Keskussairaalantie. A single-zone ticket costs €2.70 if paying with a debit/credit card or mobile ticket, or €4.00 in cash.

    Taxis are readily available in Jyväskylä. A taxi from the Jyväskylä Travel Centre to the Alvar Aalto Museum will cost approximately €12-€15.

    If driving, paid parking is available near the Museum Centre at Alvar Aallon katu 9. Disc-parking spaces are available at the corner of Kramsunkatu and Keskussairaalantie (Kramsunkatu 10).
