If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to Kuusamo. From Kuusamo city center, take the road Myllykoskentie (Road 868) towards Oulanka National Park. Continue on Myllykoskentie for approximately 20 kilometers. Basecamp Oulanka will be on your left at Myllykoskentie 30, 93900 Kuusamo. Look for the sign indicating Basecamp Oulanka.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, take a bus from Rovaniemi or Oulu to Kuusamo. Buses are operated by OnniBus and Matkahuolto, and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. Upon arrival at Kuusamo bus station, you can take a local taxi to Basecamp Oulanka. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes and may cost around 30-40 euros.

Walking (from Karhunkierros Trail)

If you are already on the Karhunkierros Trail, you can reach Basecamp Oulanka by continuing along the trail. Follow the signs towards Oulanka National Park.
