    The most common way to reach Helvetinportti Nature Trail is by car. From Tampere, drive north for approximately 1.5 hours. From Jyväskylä or Pori, the drive is roughly 2 hours. Follow Route 66 and look for signs for Helvetinjärvi National Park, about 9km north of Ruovesi. The Kankimäki parking area (Helvetinkoluntie 775, Ruovesi) marks the trailhead and has parking available. Parking is free. Be aware that parking can be limited during peak season.

  • Public Transport

    During summer weekends, the Outdoor Express bus provides direct transport from Tampere Railway Station to the Helvetin Portti restaurant at Kankimäki. Tickets can be purchased online through Matkahuolto. A one-way ticket costs approximately €12 for adults, €10 for students and pensioners, and €6 for children (4-15). A bicycle can be transported for €3. From the Helvetin Portti restaurant, the nature trail is easily accessible.
