Lieje Waterfall, known locally as Liejeen putoukset, offers a serene escape into the Finnish wilderness. This series of small falls on the Liejeenjoki River is nestled within the Kurikkavaara groves, a Natura 2000 protected area known for its diverse ecosystem of grass groves, old deciduous trees, and mires that host several endangered species. Located approximately five kilometers south of Hepoköngäs, Finland's largest waterfall, Lieje Waterfall remains a relatively unknown destination. Its secluded location, hidden within a dense forest, adds to its charm, offering a peaceful retreat away from more crowded tourist spots. The highest of the falls measures around four meters.
