Car
To reach Syvyydenkaivo by car, navigate towards Rokua Geopark. From Oulu, take Highway 22 towards Kajaani. Follow signs for Rokua National Park. Once in the Rokua area, follow signs to the Pookivaara parking area. From the parking area, the Syvyydenkierros trail leads to Syvyydenkaivo (approximately 1.6 km hike). Parking is free at the Pookivaara parking area. Be aware that road conditions may vary depending on the season.

Public Transport
During summer, bus connections from Oulu and Kajaani stop at Rokua Health & Spa Hotel, Rokuanhovi, and the Camper Stop. From any of these stops, you can access the hiking trails leading to Syvyydenkaivo. Check Matkahuolto's website for the most up-to-date bus schedules and routes. A single bus fare from Oulu to Rokua costs approximately €10-€20. From the bus stops, it's approximately 3-5km to the Pookivaara parking area, from where the trail to Syvyydenkaivo begins. Consider a taxi or a longer hike.

If you are already within Rokua National Park, follow the marked hiking trails towards Pookivaara. From Pookivaara, the Syvyydenkierros trail (marked in blue) will lead you to Syvyydenkaivo. The hike from Pookivaara to Syvyydenkaivo is approximately 1.6 kilometers and is of easy to moderate difficulty. Ensure you have a map of the Rokua National Park trails.
