Reelinkiaukio is a modern square located in the Toppilansaari district of Oulu, Finland. The Tervahovi storage site, established in 1777, consisted of three warehouses used for exporting tar. Although the original site burned down in 1901, the area's industrial heritage is still evident. Today, Reelinkiaukio represents the area's transformation from its industrial past to a modern, livable urban space.Currently, the city of Oulu rents out farm boxes in Reelinkiaukio for the summer season, allowing residents to engage in urban agriculture. These boxes, filled with soil and enhanced with natural fertilizer, are available from June 1st to October 1st.
