From Oulu city center, head to the Oulu bus station (Oulun Linja-autoasema). You can either walk there (approximately 10 minutes from the center) or take a local bus. Once at the bus station, catch bus number 11 towards 'Oulun Yliopisto' (University of Oulu). Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Vihreäpolku'. From there, walk north along Vihreäpolku street for about 10 minutes until you reach Maininkipolku. The Tatu Vaaskivi Memorial will be located on your left.

If you are in the vicinity of the Oulu Market Square (Kauppatori), you can walk to the memorial. Start by heading west on Kirkkokatu street towards the river. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Kumpusaarentie. Follow this road for about 2 kilometers, which will curve into Maininkipolku. The memorial will be located along this road.
