    If you are in the city center of Oulu, start at the Oulu Market Square (Kauppatori). From the Market Square, head northeast towards the Oulu Cathedral. Continue walking along Kirkkokatu Street until you reach the intersection with Uudenmaankatu Street. Turn right onto Uudenmaankatu Street and walk straight until you reach the bridge (Rautatiebrua) that leads to Hupisaaret Islands. Cross the bridge, and you will find yourself on the islands.

    From the Oulu Market Square (Kauppatori), take bus number 8 towards 'Kemi' or 'Tuira' and get off at the 'Hupisaaret' bus stop. The journey takes about 10 minutes. After getting off, walk towards the entrance of Hupisaaret Islands, which is just a short walk away.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in the city center. Head towards the river on the bike path by the Oulu River. Follow the bike path along the river in a northeast direction. You will pass by the Oulu City Hall and continue until you reach the bridge (Rautatiebrua) leading to Hupisaaret Islands. Cross the bridge, and you will arrive at the islands.
