Start your journey in Ruka-Kuusamo by heading southeast on the E75 highway. Continue driving for about 25 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Myllykoskentie. Take the exit towards Myllykoskentie and follow the road for approximately 4 kilometers. You will find Jyrävä Rapids located at Myllykoskentie 34, 93850 Kuusamo. There is a parking area available near the rapids.
Public Transportation
From Ruka-Kuusamo, take the local bus service towards Kuusamo City. The bus should have stops along the route, including stops in Ruka. Make sure to check the bus schedule for specific times. Once you arrive in Kuusamo, you will need to transfer to a local bus heading towards Myllykoskentie. Ask the driver to let you know when to get off at the stop for Jyrävä Rapids, which is a short walk from the bus stop. Be prepared for a short walk to the rapids from the bus stop.
