Car

From Ruka-Kuusamo, head southeast on Rukankyläntie toward Kuusamontie. Continue on Kuusamontie (Route 5) for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the town of Kuusamo. Once in Kuusamo, follow signs for Kylmäoja for about 3 kilometers. Turn left onto Putaanköngäs Road and follow this road for approximately 4 kilometers until you reach the parking area at the Putaanköngäs Waterfall. The waterfall is a short walk from the parking area.

Take a bus from the Ruka ski resort area to Kuusamo. The bus departs regularly, but check the current schedule for exact times. Upon arriving at Kuusamo, transfer to a local taxi service or check with local transportation options to reach Putaanköngäs Waterfall. The taxi ride should take around 15-20 minutes.
