Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from the center of Islamorada. Head south on Overseas Highway (US-1). Continue on US-1 for approximately 3 miles. You will see Plantation Yacht Lighthouse at 87000 Overseas Hwy on your left. Look for the bright white lighthouse structure, which is a prominent landmark in the area. Parking is available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Plantation Yacht Lighthouse via public transportation, you can take the local bus service that operates along the Overseas Highway. Look for the Bus Stop sign along US-1. Board the bus heading south towards Key West. Make sure to inform the driver that you wish to get off at Plantation Yacht Lighthouse (87000 Overseas Hwy). The fare is typically around $2.50. After disembarking, walk a short distance to the lighthouse, which will be visible from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Islamorada. Head south on the bike lanes along the Overseas Highway (US-1). The ride to Plantation Yacht Lighthouse is about 3 miles and takes roughly 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. Keep an eye out for traffic, and be sure to wear a helmet for safety. Upon arrival, there is bike parking available near the lighthouse.

  If you're close enough and prefer to walk, head south along the Overseas Highway (US-1). Be cautious as this is a busy road with limited sidewalks. Depending on your starting point, the walk may take 30 minutes to an hour. Follow the signs towards 87000 Overseas Hwy, and you will reach the Plantation Yacht Lighthouse. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated, especially on hot days.
