If you are driving from the Gold Coast area, head towards the nearest major highway and take the M1 towards the north. Follow the signs for the M1 until you reach the exit for the Pacific Motorway. Continue on the Pacific Motorway until you reach the exit for the Gold Coast Highway. Follow the Gold Coast Highway until you can merge onto the M1 heading north towards Brisbane. Stay on the M1 for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic. Once you reach Jacksonville, FL, take exit 353A for I-95 N toward Savannah. After approximately 10 miles, take exit 363A for Zoo Parkway. Continue on Zoo Parkway for about 1.5 miles, and you'll arrive at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, located at 370 Zoo Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32218. There is a parking fee of $5 for cars.

To use public transportation, start by locating the nearest bus stop in the Gold Coast area. Use the local bus system to reach the central transit hub. From there, take a bus heading towards Jacksonville. You will need to transfer buses at least once, depending on the route. Make sure to check the schedules in advance as public transit options may be limited. Once in Jacksonville, you can take Bus Route 18 from the central station to Zoo Parkway. The fare for the bus is approximately $2.50. After disembarking, walk about 0.5 miles to reach the zoo entrance at 370 Zoo Pkwy, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
