Public Bus
From central Homestead, head to the nearest bus stop on South Krome Avenue. Take the Miami-Dade Transit Bus Route 38 towards 'Miami-Dade College - Kendall Campus.' Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the bus stop at the intersection of SW 8th Street and SW 157th Avenue. From there, transfer to Bus Route 252 towards 'Marlins Park.' After about 30 minutes, get off at the bus stop at SW 8th Street and SW 167th Avenue. Walk north on SW 167th Avenue for about 15 minutes until you reach Shark Valley Loop Road. The Shark Valley Observation Tower will be on your left.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Homestead. Start at the Homestead City Hall and head north on South Krome Avenue. Follow the road until you reach SW 8th Street. Turn left onto SW 8th Street and continue heading west for about 12 miles. As you ride, keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards the Shark Valley area. You’ll eventually arrive at 36000 Shark Valley Loop Road, where the Shark Valley Observation Tower is located.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, start from the center of Homestead at the corner of Palm Avenue and Krome Avenue. Head west on Palm Avenue until you reach SW 8th Street. From here, turn left and walk along SW 8th Street for approximately 12 miles. This will take about 3 to 4 hours depending on your pace. After you reach the intersection with SW 167th Avenue, continue walking straight until you arrive at Shark Valley Loop Road. The Shark Valley Observation Tower will be on your left.
