If you're driving to Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium from anywhere in Sarasota Beaches, head towards the nearest main road. From Siesta Key, take Siesta Drive north until it intersects with US-41 N. Turn right onto US-41 N and continue for about 3.5 miles. Then, turn left onto Stickney Point Road. After about 1 mile, turn right onto Ken Thompson Parkway. Mote Marine Laboratory will be on your left at 1600 Ken Thompson Pkwy. There is ample parking available on-site, which is generally free.

For those using public transportation, you can take the Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) bus. Look for Route 4, which travels along the US-41 corridor. Board the bus at any nearby stop and ride it towards the downtown Sarasota area. Once you reach the Sarasota Bus Station, transfer to Route 24, which takes you directly to Ken Thompson Parkway. Disembark at the stop closest to Mote Marine Laboratory. Please check the SCAT website for the latest schedule and fare information, as a one-way fare is typically around $1.25.
