If you're driving, start by heading towards US-41 (Tamiami Trail) from wherever you are in Sarasota Beaches. If you're on Siesta Key, take Midnight Pass Rd towards Stickney Point Rd, then turn left onto US-41. Follow US-41 North until you reach the intersection with 10th Street. Turn right onto 10th Street, which will lead you to the John Ringling Causeway. Cross the bridge and take a left onto Ken Thompson Parkway. Continue on Ken Thompson Parkway for about 1 mile, and you'll find Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium on your left at 1600 Ken Thompson Pkwy. There is a parking lot available, which may have a fee depending on the time of year.

For those using public transportation, you can catch the SCAT bus (Sarasota County Area Transit) Route 99, which travels along US-41. Board the bus at a nearby stop, and ride it toward the downtown Sarasota area. Disembark at the stop near the intersection of US-41 and 10th Street. From there, you can either walk or catch a taxi/rideshare service to Mote Marine Laboratory. Walking will take approximately 30-40 minutes. If you prefer a shorter walk, consider using a rideshare app to get a quick ride to 1600 Ken Thompson Pkwy.
