Getting There

Walking
From the historic district, head east on King Street towards the Plaza de la Constitución. Continue straight as King Street becomes Cathedral Place. At the end of Cathedral Place, turn left onto St. George Street and walk north. Follow St. George Street until you reach the intersection with Orange Street. Turn right onto Orange Street and continue until it merges into A1A South. Keep walking on A1A South for about half a mile until you reach the entrance to the Mission Nombre de Dios. The Great Cross is located within the grounds of the Mission, directly ahead.

Biking
If you have access to a bike, you can start from the Visitor Information Center on 10 S Castillo Dr. Head east on Castillo Drive, then turn left onto A1A South. Continue on A1A South for about a mile, and you will see the entrance to the Mission Nombre de Dios on your left. The Great Cross is located within the Mission grounds, just a short distance from the entrance.

If you prefer public transport, take the St. Augustine Beach Shuttle that runs from various points in the city. Get off at the stop nearest to the Mission Nombre de Dios. From the bus stop, walk towards the entrance of the Mission. The Great Cross is located directly within the Mission grounds, easily visible as you approach.
