Walking
If you are starting from the Historic District, head north on St. George Street toward the Plaza de la Constitucion. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with W Castillo Drive. Turn left onto W Castillo Drive and continue for about 0.3 miles. You will see the Castillo de San Marcos on your right as you approach. Keep walking straight, and as you pass the fort, you will find a pathway leading to the waterfront area. Continue walking along the waterfront, and you will eventually reach Andrew Young Crossing, where the beautiful views and historical significance await you.
Bicycling
Start your journey at the Visitor Information Center located at 10 S Castillo Dr. Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Exit the center and head south on Castillo Drive for about 0.5 miles. As you reach the intersection with W Castillo Drive, take a slight left to continue on W Castillo Drive. After another 0.3 miles, you will see the Castillo de San Marcos to your right. Ride along the waterfront path that runs parallel to the fort, and you will soon reach Andrew Young Crossing. Make sure to enjoy the scenic route along the waterfront.
Public Transportation
From the Historic District, walk to the nearest bus stop located at 1 W Castillo Dr. Take the local bus that heads toward the beach (Route 5). Ride for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop nearest to the waterfront area. After getting off, walk towards the water and follow the path along the coastline. This will lead you to Andrew Young Crossing, where you can appreciate the historic site.
