Walking
Porte Notre-Dame is located at 14 Place Notre Dame in Annecy, making it easily accessible on foot from most central locations. From the Annecy train station, walk southeast along Rue de la Gare, then turn left onto Rue Royale. Continue onto Rue du Pâquier, then turn right onto Rue Notre-Dame. The gate will be on your left. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes. Walking is the most convenient and cost-effective way to reach the gate, allowing you to explore the charming streets of Annecy's old town along the way.
Public Transport
If arriving by bus, several SIBRA bus lines stop near Porte Notre-Dame. Check the SIBRA website or app for the most up-to-date schedules and routes. From the Annecy bus station, located near the train station, take a bus that stops at the 'Hôtel de Ville' or 'Place Notre-Dame'. The ride is short, and from the bus stop, the gate is a short walk away. A single bus fare is approximately €1.60. During the summer, the SIBRA bus network may be free.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Annecy. You can find them at the train station or hail one on the street. A taxi ride from the Annecy train station to Porte Notre-Dame is a short trip, costing approximately €8-€12.
