Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, navigate to Grospierres using GPS coordinates 44.4151654 latitude and 4.3351089 longitude. From the main road D104, take the exit towards Grospierres. Follow the signs for Rocher de Sampzon as you approach the town. There is a parking area nearby where you can leave your car. Please note that some parking might incur a small fee, typically around €2-€5 for a few hours.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Rocher de Sampzon via public transport, take a bus from the nearest major town, Ruoms, which is well-connected to various locations in the Ardèche Gorges. The bus line to Grospierres operates a few times a day, so check the local schedule in advance. Once you arrive at Grospierres, it's about a 20-minute walk to Rocher de Sampzon. Head northwest on Rue de la Mairie, then turn left onto Chemin de Sampzon which leads directly to the scenic spot.

• Bike

  For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike in the Ardèche Gorges area. Follow the D104 road towards Grospierres. There are bike paths that connect various scenic spots. From Grospierres, continue on the designated bike routes towards Rocher de Sampzon. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow traffic rules. This route is approximately 5 km and offers beautiful views along the way.

• Walking

  If you are already in Grospierres and enjoy walking, you can easily reach Rocher de Sampzon on foot. Start from the town center and head northwest on Rue de la Mairie for about 1 km. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the entrance to Rocher de Sampzon. This scenic walk is quite pleasant and allows you to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
