Walking
Les Halles is located in the heart of Avignon's city center on Place Pie, within the city walls. From the Palais des Papes, walk east along Place du Palais, then turn right onto Rue de la Republique. Continue straight, then turn left onto Rue Thiers. Place Pie and Les Halles will be on your right. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes. No costs are associated with walking.
Public Transport
Avignon's public transport network, Orizo, serves Les Halles via several bus routes. Check the Orizo website or app for the most up-to-date schedules and routes. From Avignon Centre train station, take bus routes C2, 4, 5, 9, 11 or 30 to the Place Pie stop. Les Halles is directly on Place Pie. A single ticket costs €2.
Parking
If driving, the Parking des Halles is a convenient option, located directly above the market. Access to the parking is via Rue Thiers. Parking rates vary, with the first 15 minutes costing €0.70 ( €0.80 in July/August), and increasing incrementally. For 1 hour, the cost is €2.80 (€3.20 in July/August). A 24-hour ticket costs €19.30 ( €26.80 in July/August). There are also several other parking lots nearby.
