Bus
From central Bordeaux, head to the Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station. Take Bus 701 towards Blaye. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Blaye' stop. From the bus stop, walk 10 minutes north towards the Citadelle, following the signs, and you will reach the entrance.
Train and Walk
Make your way to Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station. Take a train heading to Blaye; the journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Blaye train station, exit and walk north for approximately 15 minutes to reach the Citadelle. Look for directional signs or use a map app for assistance.
Bike
For those feeling adventurous, rent a bike from one of the many bike rental stations in Bordeaux. Head towards the northern part of the city, following the D2 road. The bike ride to Blaye is approximately 25 kilometers and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Blaye, follow the local signs to the Citadelle.
