Walking
Place Saint Louis is centrally located within the walled city of Aigues-Mortes and is easily accessible on foot from anywhere within the city walls. From the main entrance at Porte de la Gardette, walk straight along Rue Jean Jaurès. The Place Saint Louis will be at the end of this street. From the train station, it's approximately a 10-minute walk. Exit the station and follow the signs towards the city center (centre ville). Once inside the city walls, follow Rue Jean Jaurès to the square.
Public Transport
If arriving by bus from Nîmes or Montpellier, the bus stop 'Aigues-Mortes - Tour de Constance' is located just outside the city walls, a short walk from Place Saint Louis. From the bus stop, enter the city through the Porte de la Gardette and follow Rue Jean Jaurès to the square. Bus tickets cost approximately €2 per journey.
Driving
If driving, be aware that parking inside the city walls is limited and can be expensive. Several paid parking lots are available around the perimeter of the city, such as P2, P3, P4 and P5. Parking P8 is free. From any of these parking lots, enter the city through the nearest gate and walk to Place Saint Louis. Parking fees typically range from €1.60 to €2.00 per hour.
