Château Gaillard, nestled in the heart of Amboise, is a royal estate that marks the beginning of the French Renaissance. Upon his return in 1496, he commissioned the transformation of Château Gaillard, establishing the first French Renaissance gardens.The gardens were designed by Dom Pacello da Mercogliano, a renowned Neapolitan gardener, who brought with him a team of 22 Italian artisans.
