While Sancerre is accessible by train from Paris via Cosne-sur-Loire, the final approach to the Tour des Fiefs is best done by taxi or on foot. From the Sancerre train station, a taxi ride to Place du Connétable will take about 5 minutes. Alternatively, a 20-minute walk uphill will bring you to the tower. Taxi fare approximately €10-€15.
