Discover more about Parc Floral d'Apremont-sur-Allier

Nestled in the heart of France, in the village of Apremont-sur-Allier, lies the enchanting Parc Floral, a designated 'Remarkable Garden'. This floral park offers a captivating blend of colors and scents, inviting visitors to wander through a diverse collection of flowers and trees. Created in the mid-1970s by Gilles de Brissac, the park is a landscape masterpiece that combines the abundance of English gardens, the rigor of French parks, and the exoticism of whimsical follies. The park spans almost 5 hectares and features a variety of themed areas. A highlight is the 'white garden', inspired by Vita Sackville-West's famous garden at Sissinghurst, showcasing over 1500 species of plants with white flowers and silver leaves. The garden also boasts a Chinese bridge, a Turkish pavilion, and a Russian-inspired belvedere, all reflecting the 18th-century tradition of garden follies. These structures, designed by Alexandre Sérébriakoff, add a touch of fantasy and invite visitors on a journey of discovery. Throughout the park, water features, including a waterfall constructed from 650 tons of rock, enhance the serene atmosphere. In addition to the gardens, visitors can explore the château stables, which house a collection of 19th-century carriages and a new immersive experience called 'Le grand départ' that transports visitors back to 1900 to meet Eugène and Antoinette Schneider. The village itself, with its medieval houses adorned with flowers, is recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in France.
