The site's unique name comes from the hill's resemblance to a left hand, with each finger representing a strategic bastion. Excavated and reconstructed by a dedicated local association, the trenches reveal a landscape scarred by war, complete with original artifacts, mine funnels, and reconstructed battlements. Visiting La Main de Massiges provides a powerful connection to the past, fostering a deeper understanding of the sacrifices and hardships endured by soldiers on the Western Front.
