If you are starting from the Vieux Port (Old Port) area, head east along the waterfront promenade. You will pass many shops and cafes on your way. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Rue des Merciers. Turn left onto Rue des Merciers and walk until you reach Rue du Temple. Turn right onto Rue du Temple, and you will find Place des petits bancs at number 40, just a short walk ahead on your right.

From the La Rochelle train station, exit the station and head northeast on Rue de la Gare. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue de la République. Turn left onto Rue de la République and continue walking for about 15 minutes. You will reach Place de Verdun; from there, continue straight onto Rue du Temple.
