Walking
If you are starting from the Old Port area (Vieux Port), head southeast towards the Rue de la Chaîne and cross the bridge to the Place de la République. Continue straight until you reach the Rue du Minage. Turn right onto Rue du Minage and then take the first left onto Rue de la Fosse. Follow this street until you reach the Promenade de la Concurrence. The Plage de la Concurrence will be on your left at the end of this promenade.
Public Transport
From the central bus station (Gare Routière), take bus line 3 towards 'Les Minimes'. Get off at the 'Plage de la Concurrence' stop. Once you exit the bus, walk towards the beach by heading down the Promenade de la Concurrence. The beach entrance will be directly in front of you.
Bicycling
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental stations around La Rochelle. Start at the Place de la République and head south on Rue du Minage. Turn right onto Rue de la Fosse and continue until you reach the Promenade de la Concurrence. Follow the promenade until you arrive at Plage de la Concurrence. There are bike racks available at the beach.
