Walking
If you are starting from the central area of La Rochelle, head towards the Vieux Port (Old Port). From the Vieux Port, walk towards the Rue de la Chaîne and follow it until you reach the Place de la Coursive. Continue straight onto the Rue de la République. After a few minutes, you will reach the intersection with Rue de l'Ange Gardien. Turn left onto Rue de l'Ange Gardien, and continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will find the Plage des Minimes on your right.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the central bus station (Gare Routière) in La Rochelle, take the bus line 3 towards 'Les Minimes'. The bus will take you directly to the stop 'Plage des Minimes'. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the beach entrance, which is just a short walk away.
Biking
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in the city center. Head towards the Vieux Port, and then take the bike path along the coast towards the Plage des Minimes. Follow the signs for 'Les Minimes' and enjoy the scenic ride along the waterfront. It should take you about 10-15 minutes to reach the beach.
