Walking
If you are starting from the Old Port area of La Rochelle, head towards the harbor promenade (Quai Louis Prunier). Walk along the waterfront and enjoy the beautiful views of the boats. Follow Rue de l'Armide straight ahead, and you will arrive at St. Nicholas Tower shortly after.

If you are closer to the city center, you can take the local bus. Look for the bus stop labeled 'Place de Verdun.' From there, board line 1 or 2 towards 'La Genette' or 'Les Minimes.' Get off at the stop called 'Porte de la Grosse Horloge.' Once you exit the bus, walk towards the old city walls, and you will see St. Nicholas Tower directly ahead. It is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.
