Getting There

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse. From any location in the Languedoc Coast, take the D613 road towards the A61 motorway. Once on the A61, take the exit towards Carcassonne and continue on the D106 road. Follow signs for Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse, which will take you through beautiful countryside and small villages. Upon arriving in Duilhac, follow local signs for Château de Peyrepertuse. There is a parking area near the entrance, but be aware that parking may incur a small fee.

  If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a train from a major city in the Languedoc region (like Montpellier or Carcassonne) to the nearest train station in Couiza. From Couiza, you can take a local bus to Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse. Buses may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance.
