MO.CO. La Panacée: Montpellier's Hub for Emerging Art

MO.CO. La Panacée, located in Montpellier's historic L'Écusson district, is a contemporary art center focused on emerging artistic talent. Opened in 2013 in the renovated former Royal College of Medicine, the venue serves as an exhibition space, production center, and meeting place for artists, students, and the public.La Panacée's 1,645 square meters include five exhibition halls, a patio, hallways, and classroom space. The center promotes interdisciplinary work and hosts events, screenings, and conferences. It also provides residency opportunities for artists and students. The ground floor features a resource center with art-related books, manuscripts, and audio-visual records.Visitors can explore contemporary art through various mediums, including visual arts and new forms of writing. Cultural mediators are available to guide visitors and discuss the works on display. La Panacée also offers guided tours, workshops, and meetings related to current exhibitions.
