Walking
Starting from Wazemmes Market (Marché de Wazemmes), head south on Rue des Postes towards Rue de la Monnaie. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Basse. Turn left onto Rue de la Basse and continue until you reach Boulevard de la Liberté. Cross the road and continue walking straight. You will pass by the iconic Lille Opera on your left. Continue straight, and after a few minutes, you will arrive at Place de la République, where the Palais des Beaux Arts is located on your right.
Public Transport - Metro
From Wazemmes, walk to the Wazemmes Metro Station. Take Metro Line 1 (the yellow line) towards 'Château d'Eau'. Travel for two stops and get off at 'République - Beaux Arts' station. From there, exit the station and walk towards Place de la République. The Palais des Beaux Arts will be directly in front of you. Note: A single metro ticket costs around €1.60.
Public Transport - Bus
Locate the nearest bus stop in Wazemmes. Take bus line 16 towards 'Gare Lille Flandres'. Get off at the 'République' stop. From the bus stop, walk towards Place de la République, and the Palais des Beaux Arts will be on your left. The bus ticket also costs approximately €1.60.
